CG Goldbeck Visits Yunfu and Stone Fair

As part of his first visit to Yunfu, Guangdong, Consul General Brian Goldbeck attended the 7th Annual Yunfu Stone Processing Science and Technology Fair and met with municipal officials and business leaders to learn about Yunfu’s economic developments.  During his visit, CG Goldbeck toured a stone processing factory and visited the site of an industrial park being constructed by Yunfu with the support of neighboring Foshan municipality. 

Over breakfast, CG Goldbeck discussed with students and teachers of a vocational college the role of vocational education in economic development and learned about the hopes and ambitions of students in Yunfu. 

CG Goldbeck also visited the historic Guo En Temple, founded in 683 by Master Huineng, and learned about the temple’s rich history and Master Huineng’s role in the growth and development of Zen Buddhism in China.
