CG Goldbeck with Leaders in Zhanjiang

During the trip, CG met with Zhanjiang Mayor Ruan Risheng and discussed bilateral military exchange issues and US-Zhanjiang business, education and culture cooperation.  CG Goldbeck further discussed military exchange issues with Rear Admiral Yao Zhilou, Deputy Commander of the PLA’s South China Sea Fleet, and other Chinese navy officers when he attended a reception hosted by the French on the occasion of the frigate "Vendémiaire" visiting the PLA South China Sea Fleet’s base in Zhanjiang.  The CG also met with local business leaders Chen Dan, Chairman of the Evergreen Group and Chairman of Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce; Li Zhong, Chairman of Guolian Aquatic Products. Co. Ltd; and the management of Guanhao Hi-tech Co. Ltd.  On his visits to these companies CG Goldbeck discussed closer business cooperation, including promoting American exports and investment in America.
