Consul General Goldbeck visited the Consulate’s CSI office
Consul General Goldbeck visited the Consulate’s Container Security Initiative (CSI) office on September 1. CSI is a program intended to help increase security for containerized cargo shipped to the United States from around the world, including from ports in China.
CG Goldbeck noted that through cooperation with Chinese counter-part organizations such a China Customs in Shenzhen, CSI promotes global trade by reducing potential cargo clearance delays on arrival in the U.S. while addressing U.S. border security concerns, making the program a “win-win” solution for both the U.S. and China.
