Pictures of Adoption Ceremony with Ambassador Huntsman

On Monday, October 16, 2009, 24 families and their adopted children participated in an adoption ceremony with Ambassador Jon Huntsman, U.S. Ambassador to China and twice elected governor of Utah.  Ambassador Huntsman shared his own adoption experience with the families and congratulated them on their reaching the end of a long process. Ambassador Huntsman’s attendance marks the beginning of National Adoption Month, which is celebrated nationwide in the United States.  This year’s theme, “You don’t have to be perfect to be a perfect parent,” hopes to continue to raise awareness of the thousands of children in foster care in the United States and help find secure, permanent, and loving homes for them.
