Pre-Departure Orientation for Applicants Recently Issued Student Visas

The Public Affairs Section of US Consulate General Guangzhou will host a Pre-Departure Orientation for individuals who will be studying in the United States next year. All visa applicants who have been recently issued student (F1) visas are welcome to register to attend this free event.

The orientation will cover:

• Overview of Student Visas
• Pre-Departure Planning
• Traveling to and Arriving in the United States
• Beginning your US Education
• Housing and Safety
• Everyday Living and Student life
• Adjusting to a New Environment
• How to Make Your Study Successful

Time：7-9pm

How to attend:
1. Please send an email to timothygz@hotmail.com and guowz@state.gov . The email should contain your name, contact information, and indicate that you wish to attend the pre-departure orientation on January 4.

Note:  On the day of the orientation, please bring your ID for security check and arrive before 7 pm.
