Seeing West Fujian's Business Prospects, Hakka Culture

On July 12 and 13, Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck visited Longyan where he met with Mayor Huang Xiaoyan, Vice Mayor Zhang Xiujuan, Foreign Affairs officials, the Taiwan Business Association and several of the city’s leading companies. They discussed trade and investment opportunities in the mining, forestry, and environmental protection sectors.

On July 13, Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck visited several of the well-known Hakka Tu-lou (earthen houses) located in the Yongding and Nanjing areas of western Fujian where he discussed Hakka culture and tourism development prospects.
