U.S. Consulate Promotes NEI

On September 17, Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck and newly-arrived Senior Commercial Officer Greg Wong gave over 15 journalists an in-depth overview of the U.S. Government’s new National Export Initiative (NEI).   The NEI is a U.S. Government-wide effort to help stimulate global economic growth through American exports.  According to Consul General Goldbeck, the implications for south China are significant -- “the National Export Initiative (NEI) is good news for south China because it will present many opportunities for U.S. firms and our government to cooperate jointly with Chinese counterparts to expand into new export markets, develop the Chinese domestic market in south China, and play complementary roles on a global basis.  It is a win-win approach for both markets.”  For more information on the NEI, see http://www.export.gov/nei/index.asp and check out this fact sheet.
