U.S. Consulate Supports Low Carbon Initiatives
On September 20th, Consul General Brian L. Goldbeck along with CCPIT China Vice President Wang Jinzhen, and Guangzhou Vice Mayor Chen Mingde provided opening remarks to around 300 attendees at the China International Symposium and Exhibition on Low Carbon Products and Technologies (Guangzhou). This first-annual event was organized by the Guangzhou subcouncil of CCPIT seeks to find solutions to improve China’s energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint to mitigate global warming. During his remarks, CG Goldbeck observed that “the U.S. is the world’s largest clean energy market and is a leader and competitive supplier of low carbon technologies and products. CG Goldbeck also participated in the opening of the U.S. Pavilion organized by the American Chamber of Commerce south China, the largest of national pavilions at the exhibition, and met with representatives from the 13 U.S. companies participating in the exhibition.
