Education Hour: Visa Advice for American Educational Institutions

Consulate Guangzhou hosts an "Education Hour" for representatives of American educational institutions and American exchange organizations to ask Consular Officers questions about student and educational exchange visas. Although non-US citizens can attend the Education Hour, these sessions are not open to individual student visa applicants nor can individual cases be discussed. We will not accept any documents on behalf of individual applicants. (Such documents are best submitted when the individual makes an application.)

Please notify the consulate by fax (86-20-3884-4424, ATTN: Education Officer) at least 14 days in advance to request an appointment for a specific Education Hour Friday. With your request, please include the names of all people attending the Education Hour, as well as a business card or letter from the school or organization you represent.

Education Hour sessions are held every Friday at 2:00 pm at the Consular Section Non-immigrant Visa Waiting Room, 5th Floor, 2nd annex of Tianyu Garden, 136-142 Linhe Zhong Rd.
