MEDIA MAKING CHANGE
(May 22 - July 31)
Please join us for an exciting new series entitled “Media Making Change”. Recent international events have increased public discussion of both the accuracy and role of the media. To address these issues, we have designed this series and invited a number of highly qualified journalists to make presentations. The series will start on May 22 with a talk on bias in the media. Arnold Zeitlin, a journalist with 37 years experience at a number reputable American news organizations including AP and UPI, will speak. On May 29, Peter Herford, a professor at the Shantou University School of Journalism and a former professor at the Columbia University School of Journalism and vice-president of CBS news, will discuss old media versus new media.
